Calypso Tortuga Island Tour
Manta Raya offers a level of cruising luxury
and comfort in 100% Calypso style.
Once underway the Manta Raya makes her way
to the Gulf of Nicoya.
Her white clad crew pampers guests with
fresh tropical fruits and drinks. In the
morning the catamaran will pass thru the
islands of San Lucas, Gypsy, Sugar Loaf,
Guayabo; Jesusita, Cedros and Negritos with
Tortuga Island as the destination.
Particularly enchanting for it's beauty,
Tortuga Island is known for its immaculate
white sand beach and turquoise waters, a
perfect stop for swimming, snorkeling and
Calypso's famous lunch. For passenger safety
and convenience Manta Raya has a bow ramp
which allows her passengers to disembark
directly onto the beach.
Sip cold wine in the shade of white
umbrellas at tables covered with white linen
and be served the midday feast. A sumptuous
delight, featured in Gourmet Magazine,
starts with a ceviche appetizer and followed
by a medley of salads. The main dish is a
delightful bar-b-qued breast of chicken
covered in a mouthwatering tropical sauce
accompanied with julienned vegetables all
cooked fresh on the grill by Calypso's
expert crew.
The Captain and his crew are the masters of
this seascape. They are seasoned mariners
who will convey their love of Costa Rica to
you. Sightseeing, sunbathing, diving,
exploring, swimming, eating, drinking, and
relaxing. |

White Water Rafting
Savegre River Whitewater Rafting
is a journey of unsurpassed
beauty, jungle vegetation, and
exploding whitewater. For the
adventuresome beginner and
experienced rafter the class III
rapids will have you filled with
adrenaline as you paddle hard
over the waves. Along the way
you will be astounded by the
awesome canyons, waterfalls, and
primary rainforest of Costa
Rica. The Savegre river is a
magnificent stretch of
whitewater that begins its
course by winding out of a
sparsely inhabited valley in the
mountains. At the lower savegre
the whitewater rapids are
exciting, but not so demanding
that you won't have time to
enjoy the Savegre's spectacular
tropical scenery. This is one of
the most pristine rivers in the
country, and is surrounded by
impressive views of the primary
rainforest. Lurking just behind
the shroud of lush foliage, you
will find a number of truly
magnificent waterfalls of the
Savegre's tributaries. At the
full day savegre river rafting
you will visit a waterfall and
get to explore the natural
swimming pools in the area
surrounded by blooming
heliconias. |
